A history of Layton City’s logos

LAYTON City has boasted a variety of logos over the decades.
The first, in 1946, was a simple “Town of Layton” with a decorative circle and line drawn through the name.
The next one, likely in the late 1950s, referred to Layton as a “City of progress” and had a building skyline with a missile on the right side to represent Hill Air Force Base.

This is another of Layton's early logos.

Another logo, in the 1960s, contained the motto, “growth with vision.” This logo created a tree out of the top of “T” in Layton.

By the 1990s, Layton came up with its colorful blue logo with a modernized design. This logo lasted approximately 20 years, until about 2016.

The latest logo (2016) is Layton City in bright blue colors, with three orange umbrellas on top of the name.
